    Objects recognition

    User Yair Golan (YairG@radlan.com.nospam) posted:

    Hi.

Can I record scripts in a way that Iíll have the objects names and not the
    Indexes on the script?

    Like:

    Window SetContext, "Caption=Update Device Software - 1*", ""
    SetThinkAvg 30
JavaPanel Click, "JavaCaption=Update Device Software -
    1*;\;Type=JavaPanel;name=~exit", ""

    Instead of:

    Window SetContext, "Caption=Update Device Software - 1*", ""
    SetThinkAvg 30
JavaPanel Click, "JavaCaption=Update Device Software -
    1*;\;Type=JavaPanel;Index=6", ""

    Thanks.

    Re: Objects recognition

    Yes you can
Go to Tools->GUI Record Options On the General tab select Identify List by Contents and Identify menu by text .
This will change the script object names

    Re: Objects recognition

    Hi,
I am also having the same problem.

I tried setting the GUI record options to identify list by contents and identify menus by text. But still when I record, the JavaPanel is recorded with index.

Can anyone please help me with the issue or give me a hint?

    Thanks in advance.
