Sharing VPs between .rec scripts
I'm trying to get the .rec file "Library" set up (as described by Monika in another
I've got some VPs in a .rec file in functions that I want to share, so I set up those VPs in a .rec file which includes a .sbh file that I Declare all the functions in. I then include that .sbh file in my OTHER .rec scripts, but get "Object Data not found" errors for all my VPs because it's apparentely trying to locate the VP Object data inside the TOP caller and not within the .rec "library" script I have.
Can anyone describe specifically how you're supposed to set this up to work properly?
I've got tons of common functions and VPs I don't want to have to repeat thoughout 100s of scripts. Thanks.
Re: Sharing VPs between .rec scripts
Believe it or NOT but this was one of the benefits of Robot until its last good version 6.X. After that they made enhanchemnts and this was one of the major drawbacks.
I had a similar problem when I upgraded to version 7.X when this enhancements was done. As you already know that VP can only be used in the project that you are on. There are global verification points that you can use. As far as I know you may have to do what you are deading
