    Anyone work with this software?

I'm sorry. I spelled the name wrong. The software company is Manugistics.

Have you tried just using the text property as the RecMethod?

If you are trying to test manugistics software with a tool, why don't you try silktest. It is what they use.

That's one of the problems. The Text value is empty, until I type something
in. I believe that is what you were asking?

I ran an Object Property VP on the object in question (in this case, an
EditBox), there is no property "Name". There is a "Text" property, but like
I said, it is blank until I type something in.

Also, thanks Mark B for the suggestion. I have already tried turning on the
VB extensions, it did not change anything.

I guess I will have to live with using Object Indexes. Thanks to everyone
    for their help.

And to Dominic, it wasn't my choice to use Manugistics. I was just asked to
    automate the regression tests. ;-)

Sorry, didn't realize that it was an edit box. It sounds like your
developers didn't name the object at design time. I would go and ask them
and if not, insist that they give all objects a name.
