What is the correct commandline syntax to launch robot scripts
User al caughey (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
In the more recent releases, you can run a robot script from the command
According to the documentation the parameters are as follows:
rtrobo.exe VBMenus /user admin
/project*C:\Sample Files\Projects \Default.rsp /play /close
In this example, the user admin opens the script VBMenus, which is in the
project file Default.rsp located in the directory c:\Sample
Files\Projects. The script is opened for playback, and then it is closed
when playback ends.
When I attempt the same thing (with values appropriate to our
configuration), Robot does not get past the login window. Once I dismiss
this dialog, the script executes properly; however, the goal of the
exercise is to run without requiring user input.
I done this successfully in the past and I recall that I had to make a
minor correction to the above example... of course, I can't remember what
it is now.
Is there anyone out there who can help?

There can not be any spaces in any of the parameter strings i.e. "Sample
Files" needs to be SampleFiles or Sample_Files or enclose in quotes I
beleive, "C:\Sample Files\Projects"
