VB Grid Equivalent in PB?
User Praveen (firstname.lastname@example.org) posted:
Are there anybody who has tested Powerbuilder applications, I will be glad
if they would respond me, ofcourse the only gain that u can obtain is that,
when I can understand your stuff and be in a position to pass on to others.
But then that's must be the objective of this intelligent usergroup.
Coming to my point I would like to know the equivalent VB Grid object in the
Powerbuilder. When I have done a VP on this PB Grid object I could
determine Name=dw_maintenance;\;Name=member_type_desc and I have passed this
string to the Grid utility function named grdGetRowCount, the findObject
function could recognise the object, but later it said Property not found
when accessing Row, col portions of the Paul's Grid Routines. Any help on
this is highly appreciated,
Thanks in Anticipation.
Window SetTestContext, "Name=w_unison_mdi", ""
Window SetTestContext, "Name=w_maint_member_type;ChildWindow", ""
Result = grdGetRowCount

First of all you need to look at the DataWindow's properties to see the Name
of the property that holds your row count. In my datawindows it's called
"RowCount". You are going to have to change Paul's code to reflect that ie:
' get row count
Result = SQAGetProperty(sGridRecogStr, "RowCount", vValue)
