I think some people were on about those out of office replies responding to
this mailing list. Got this at work. Don't know if anyone has tried it

1. Obviously leave your PC (& Outlook running)
2. Create a new .oft file attached in C:\Program Files\Microsoft
or wherever you installed MS Office for the auto-reply message. Could also
edit the existing mail.oft file in this folder.
3. Create a rule that uses this .oft file (include full path) when mails are
sent to you excluding whatever mailing lists you wish. This should ensure
the auto-reply is only sent when mails sent to you personally.
4. Turn on the rule by checking the box.
