Is 2001A flaky w/ fprintf ?
User Troy Nash (email@example.com) posted:
Just upgraded to 2001A w/ the new patch, and Test Mgr is flaking on me.
When I try to run suites w/ scripts that utilize a file on my local drive,
it bombs (only Sometimes And in Different scripts and places) w/ an error
like this one:
VUi #001: fatal program runtime error: RecPmt_Add_Biweekly:
RecPmt_Add_Biweekly.s, line 153
[188.8.131.52]: Received SIGSEGV signal
Usually it's at a POP command, but I'm pretty certain this is related to
the file on my local, because my suites that don't use the file run
This is my typical command:
file1 = open( SerTransFile, "a");
fprintf(file1, "%s\n", value1);

I've received this 'Received SIGSEGV signal' error from TestManager many
times, and was unable to get satisfaction from Rational Help to resolve it.
I end up fixing it by deleting the suite (not the script) which generates it
and recreating it exactly as before. It's a simple workaround to a bug I
don't understand. Hope this helps.
