good book for a newbie? please recommend

    User Paul Kretschmer (Paul.Kretschmer@paxonix.com) posted:

    Testing Gurus,

Can anyone recommend a good book on testing for a newbie?

I'm new to both testing and Rational, so obviously I need a lot of help.
The Rational manuals are okay, but don't answer all my questions.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hallo Paul,

take a look at "Testing Computer Software" by Cem Kaner and
"Handbook of Usability Testing: How to Plan, Design, and Conduct
    Effective Tests" by Jeffrey Rubin

To learn about TeamTest/Robot take a look at the Rational user's website
    at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RationalUsers/

I was recommended 'Software Test Automation' by Mark Fewster and Dorothy
Graham, and even though slightly outdated, it is still worth a read.
