Viewing production objects using TOAD
User Richardson Liz (email@example.com) posted:
we use TOAD extensively here....and I was wondering if anyone knows how
developers can view production code from procs and pkgs. Is this a privilege
that a DBA must set up....we (the developers) can view and update db objects
in the test environment, but once deployed to production, we cannot see any
code ????? Our DBA's have altered all our accounts so we cannot update
(compile) any procs/procedures in production unless we have the schema owner
account (which we don't).

Am I right in saying that you are looking in the Schema Browser part
and under the tab for Procs you look at the packages and they say
Package Fred wrapped - in the right hand window.
ok how you get it unwrapped is you have to get the code off whoever
wrote it and then recompile it and it will overwrite the wrapped
package so that you can see it.
