UDTs and U

Tomba just read this:
Rational Testing Products Release Notes
In some cases, passing a user-defined data type variable to a subprocedure
causes Robot to crash. To avoid this problem:
Declare a local variable as the same user-defined data type as the global
Pass the local variable to the subprocedure, where it is modified.
Assign the local variable to the global variable. For example:
Dim MyGlobalVariable as UDT
Dim MyLocalVariable as UDT
Does this imply it has to be global?
Anyone have trouble passing UDTs?
Does bran help?
