    Repository Vs Sybase SQL Anywhere

    User Praveen (praveen@nous.soft.net) posted:

    Hi all,

I would like to know the difference between these two tools. I have
    created
the sybase database and I have started this database. What I am supposed
    to
do later, can I create the repositories here for a client server
    centralised
repository sort of thing. Could you guys explain the essence of the Sybase
server. Is the repository that we created using rational Administrator can
be used for Client/Server sort of storage of Test assets. Any help on this
    would be appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance.

You create the repositoy using Rational Administrator. The repository can be
either a Sybase or a MS Access database. The repository is used to store
references to test cases, test scripts and also used to store other test
assets like bugs, user details, test requirements etc... The test scripts
themselves are not stored in the repository but they are referenced in the
    repository.

    I hope this helps.
