Hi I am a new user to Rational Robot (2001.03.00) and have a question about determining if a window is displayed or not.
If a certain website is eneterd and no username/password cookie is on that machine then a username/password window is displayed.
If there already is a username/password cookie on that machine no window is displayed.
Instead of using "Result = WindowVP (Exists" which creates a verification point that can cause my script to fail if the window doesn't exist, is there a way to say something to the effect of:
If window exists then
Else if window doesn't exist then
By the way, does there happen to be s web site somewhere which houses robot scripts people have written?
Firstly the best forum on the planet for Robot users (sorry Betasoft you are catching up) is www.dundee.net/sqa/ then click on the web link in archives, then click browse without joining then search for whatever or just browse.
Ok why not try a syncronisation point so do a wait for window. Then you can use your if...else if the window does not appear. Using the return value from the syncronisation function to drive the rest of the test.
