Robot window capture case
I am running SQA 6 at the moment, just recording basic scripts to show others where I work the advantages of automation.
However, I just noticed that when I recorded my Window capture / comparisons about 50% of them had the focus set to a text box, this means that the cursoe is going to flash, this also means that 50% of the time, the blink will be on when it was recorded off (or visavesa).
What would be the best think for me to do.
I was thinking about re-capturing the windows with the focus on a button.
Is there a way I can edit the source of the case to mask out the blinking cursor
Re: Robot window capture case
You can use masks for areas of a Window Test case although we have found that comparing a whole window is very unstable. The slightest difference (eg focus on another object or window being a different size) and the script will fail.
We have found it more suitable to test specific objects rather than the whole lot together.
Hope this is of some use.
