We are a major insurance company that has decided to standardize hardware and software platforms within the organization. To that aim we set up implementation scripts that install Windows NT 4.0, MS office suite, Lotus Notes etc. for multiple hardware platforms and network topologies. As new hardware is introduced or software is upgraded we incorporate it into our next release. As a QA department we are responsible for testing these new releases. This is a simplistic view but I am curious if there are others out there who are using the SQA suite of products to set up scripting like this rather than for software development processes. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions the group could make.
