I am testing a windows based application.Sometimes, click on pushbuttons is not working..I see that the focus is set to the button, but click on the button is not happening...But this does not also happen always..I am unable to take this into account..Any ideas please??
I do not get any error message...when it comes to clicking the button robot seems to have the focus but does not click...it waits and then eventually I get script command failure..However this is not happening when I run it in the debug mode..I am wondering if it is any kind of timing issue..
Following is the error that I am getting:
**** Script Command Failure on line 91 of 'Script_Dipatch' -
After clicking on the push button (which is the Save button), another window pops up.Close button in that window should be clicked. Those are the steps..
Since Robot is not able to click on the Save button, it is trying for a while and moving on to the next step, which is to click on the Close button of the new pop up window..It is failing there because the pop up is not showing up since Save button is not clciked in the first place.
Make sure your window set context is correct for the click on the Save Button.
Before doing a click on the save button do an SQAFindObject to verify that Robot has found the button.
It really seems (without seeing your code or your app) that you are not setting the correct context of the dialog with the save button or you are not using the correct Rec string for the save button.
What are you doing before clicking the save button? Are you in another window? If so try putting some SQAFindObject commands in loops to wait for the Save window to appear before setting context. Etc...
Really sounds like a bug in your code that needs to be addressed.
