RPT will work Applet application?
I'm New to this forum. my question is
Applet developed application is able to do performance testing by using RPT?
Please send me your valuable answers.
Re: RPT will work Applet application?
It depends upon what the applet does.
RPT works at the HTTP protocol level. The client (person using browser) may use keystrokes or mouse operations that cause a request to be sent to the server. The client (applet running in browser) may do calculations and also cause a request to be sent to the server. RPT will attempt to correlate any dynamic data in the requests so playback always works okay.
If the work of the applet only causes "normal" HTTP requests then the answer is yes, it will work fine.
If the work of the applet causes highly customized requests due to the calculating of the applet, or if the applet is causing server workload through separate socket connections, then it may not work with RPT.
