use strstr and substr functions.
strstr let's you find the location of the colon and then with substr you can carve you string out.
Use strlen for detrmining the length of your string.
And last but not least if you have to convert you string to a number you use: atoi

Regular Expression Problem
Hello all -
I am having a problem trying to figure out a regular expression that will work for a VU script on a target string with the following format:
xxxxxx numbers we need to extract)[SOME HTML]The item description
The string is a series of letters followed by a colon which contains the numbers we need to extract, however since the first set of number repeats an unkown number of times (it's a table listing of items), we need to use the description that FOLLOWS the number set to identify the correct line. Here is an example of the string:
