DLL\'s and Code parsers
Well I'm in the unfortunate position of loadtesting an XML servlet based web application. Problem is that load test script datapooling doesn't support serlvets and therefore I've got to manipulate all the servlet posts manually.
I've already created a C++ dll that manipulates the xml's for me, however has anybody come up with some type of parser which they can run it over a newly recorded VU script that modifies it to whatever you require? eg places in all your function calls, places post contents to variables for manipulation within functions etc.
I'm in the middle of writing code to do this, however I don't wish to reinvent the wheel should I not need to.
Re: DLL\'s and Code parsers
The DMS Software Reengineering Toolkit is generalized compiler technology for automating analyses and modifcations to source files. DMS presently works with many languages, C++, Java, COBOL, ... and can be straightforwardly configured for others.
I'm not specifically familiar with "VU script" files, but if they are a langugae,
DMS can be taught to parse them and apply custom transformations of the type you requested.
