Using the Match Command
I have been having difficulties recently trying to get the match command working in order to use this function when working with session id's. I have experimented with it by trying to get the example from the help file working but even it is giving me problems. Below is the help file example for the match function; I have added additional I/O commands to view the result in a file:
match("abc([0-9]+)$0 ([A-Za-z]+)$1", "abc4 def", &str1, &str2);
fprintf(file1,"answer is %s,%s",str1,str2);
During playback this section of code gives me a run-time error, stating that str1 has not been initialized (but if this example working it should have been initialized). To debug this code I have assigned the result of match to a variable and used fprintf to write to a file. In this case the match returned 0 indicating that no match was found.
If anyone out there has used this before for parsing Session Data can you please assist. Or if there is a better way for handling Session IDs it would help me.
Re: Using the Match Command
Seems there is a patch for the match problem, contact rational to get it. Match is working now though.
