I am currently using RPT version testing a java-based application. While it correctly records and runs a performance test I have had problems with data correlation related to references and substitutions. My users are correctly substituted from a datapool, but other data such as lot ids are not as the test records the recorded value, not the substituted values. I noticed that the XML requests always include the recorded values, not the data references or substitutions and have tried countless variations on references and/or datapool substitutions, but continually find that the recorded lot ID is written back to the database, not the substituted value. I have traced the problem to a particular XML request that appears to be unaffected by either references or substitutions. Any attempt to make a reference or substitution to the xml data results in an xml tampering error. has anyone encountered such an issue with xml data and if so, how was it handled?
