I'm using the tool IBM Rational Functional Tester and I need to test some terminal-based applications.
So I installed the Extension for Terminal-based Applications from the same company.
By them, this extension is the perfect choice for me.
But, I'm not getting success using this tool.
Did anybody already use that with success or know how to use that ?
I'm able to see the tool installed in RFT -> Configure Applications for Testing. But I'm not able to start it.
We are using the terminal based application for our application. It works fine without any problem. Better check with the path given for it. It may help u to resolve the problem.
Thanks for the reply.
I think it is something related to the Java version, or the Java configuration in the RFT.
Because when I try to "run" the Extension, nothing happens, neither an error message. It is really strange.
Could you please give some information about it ?
How are your configurations in RFT?
Path: <Application Install Dir>\jdk\jre\bin
Executable file: javaw.exe
Args: -classpath <All the necessary jar files from application install path>
Working Dir: <application install dir>
I'm facing the same problem as Jonatan. Could you please give the configuration details please?
To solve the problem easily, I installed the RFT 6.1 (before I was using the 7.0 version).
Now, with more time I'll try the AshokCR tip.
Thank you all
