How to determine if a test passed/failed
I've run across an issue that seems like it should be trivial but I can't figure out how to do it in RFT. We're currently using logTestResult() to log pass/fail in our tests. This is made more complicated by the fact that we have a base class that typically calls several RFT test classes and then tries to determine if they all passed or not. They are all called from the same base class so they all share the same RFT Log, it seems that this would be a logical place to determine overall pass/fail status.
Is there a method one can call in RFT to determine if a test has passed or failed? RFT logs a pass/fail for the entire script so I know it's keeping track of the information but I can't figure out how to get at it short of parsing the RFT log when the script exits.
Re: How to determine if a test passed/failed
add some Description in logTestResult()
like ....logTestReslut("Test Script1 : V.1")
it means in Script1 verification 1.. it i seasy fo Identify if you have n no.of scripts....
over ride the method logTestReslut(Desc , boolean )with logTestResult(Desc, expRes,AcutRes,compare exp vs Act)
