problem with runing scripts with additional jar files in Test Manager
When the XDE scripts depends on some additional jar file, then it's
failed to execute the scripts from Test Manager. because test
manager launch XDE tester using a command line, I have not found out
how to change this command line to add additional classpath to it.
If the scripts don't depends on additional jar, it's no problem to
invoke them from test manager
Any solutions ? thanks in advance.
Re: problem with runing scripts with additional jar files in Test Manager
It has been a while since I dealt with this. Forgive me if the solution is not complete..
When Test Manager runs a script it loads "all" files needed into the users hidden "Local Settings" folder. I solved this issue by identifying which jar files were loaded to the agent then locating where they were located in the IDE. I placed my additional jar files in the same folder as the RFT jars. It worked from then on.
Re: problem with runing scripts with additional ja
I ran into this problem a while ago when we upgraded to 6.1 at my company. The solution I got from IBM was to copy the .jar files into the directory defined by the "Rational FT Customization Directory" registry setting under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Rational Software\Rational Test\8". Then the jars will be found when running scripts from Functional Tester.
Hope that helps.
