Integrating TestManage with XDE Tester for logging
I have changed my logging preferences to use TestManager. In the test manager I have changed the log filter so it only prints out the messages. But it still prints out everything. Anyone knows how to get this to work so I only log the messages that I have in the scirpt with the logInfo("") syntax?
Re: Integrating TestManage with XDE Tester for logging
I don't know the answer to your question, but maybe I can explain my other post better:
When I was using XDE tester, LogInfo was a Java method that I wrote. This "LogInfo" you are talking about sounds like something that is now part of XDE Tester. I was talking about something entirely different. Instead of using XDE's logging functions, I was writing out to a file which could be anywhere.
Here's how to read and write to a file: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutor...lestreams.html
What I did was create a Java class with a method in it to write the file. Then in my script: MyFileMethod("this text"). If "classes" and "methods" aren't familiar to you, show this post to someone familiar with Java and they can explain it better. Using this, I could write anything I wanted to any file. The link above is not enough information to do this. You'll need to make it into a method, do some exception handling, etc. You'll probably need some help from a Java programmer.
