Programmatic access to object map?
I'm playing around with the demo version of rational functinal tester and so far it seems pretty awesome, but theres something I can't quite figure out how to do that I think could be really useful. I am testing a Web Application and I would like to be able to write a java function in my script that will grab all the links on each page and navigate through them. Rather than hard code each link into my script, I think it would be better if my script could look at the object map for the page it is currently looking at and snag all the links on the page dynamically. I can't seem to find a way to access the object map as a whole, only by individual elements. Is this possible?
Re: Programmatic access to object map?
Instead of reading Object Maps, you can get the available objects dynamically using <top level object>.getChildren(). You can get all the test objects by recursive method and perform the actions on that object.
Pls. refer this in our old threads...
