Anyway to change the object hierarchy in object map.
I have a popup window where that is tab pane. This tab pane contains a list and a text field.
Now recently my development team decided to remove the tab. Now the list and text field will be in the popup window.
While executing my scripts, obviously it was not able to locate the list and text field because the hierarchy of the objects are changed.
my question is:
Is there any way, --- other than deleting the old object and re-recording it as a new object the script---, to resolve the hierarchy changes. (like is anyway to say that the parent of list is popup window (not the tab))
Re: Anyway to change the object hierarchy in object map.
Yes, You can capture the new pop up and associated objects and then "drag and drop" the old objects onto the newly captured objects.
Others have suggested hacking the *.rftmap file with some xml parser but I have not tried it. I thought I say reference to a object map utility program but I have not had the time to search for it.
