    Invisible Object

    I have a div which is having an anchor.
    I want to click on the anchor,but the catch is that it is not visible.I reached the object using getMappleChildren,but not able to click it.
    We can make the object visible by hovering an icon which will scroll and take us to the object.
    But that is tiime dependent ,and this changes.

    Pls help.

    Thanks.

    Re: Invisible Object

    When you say "not able to click it", what error message are you getting? Check the helper class and make sure you're declaring the object to be the right class before using the .click method.

    Re: Invisible Object

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot for your response.
    The scenario is like this.
    I have a div which holds say 200 elements.
    5 elements are visible at a time.
    An icon is there which on mouse over make a scroll like feeling(NOT SCROLLING).

    I want to click 240 th element and i clicked that when recording.But the mouseover and the autoscrolling down is not recorded by XDE.
    The element is an anchor and the clicked element is there in the object map.

    Object Map Hierarchy goes like this,

    DIV.
    Table
    Link to be clicked.

    For the div i take getMappableCHildren.
    I get the tables.
    I check for the string needed Suppose "XYZ" by
    getProperty which is the 240 th element.
    Now getMappable Children of table is taken which will take me to the anchor.

    Till here things are working fine.

    Now since the 240 the element ie XYZ Is not visible ,it is throwing No Screen Point found exception.

    Acutally anchorObject.exists is returning true
    and also
    anchorObject.showing is also returning true but the object is NOT VISIBLE

    Btw,i don't want to make the object visible by sleep method because that is not reliable.
    We can do it by mousovering on an icon and wait till XYZ appears.

    Any help in this regard is appreciated.

    I tried to post the code but it is not allowing.I am trying in one way or another .

    Thanks in advance,
    Sanooj

    Re: Invisible Object

    "I am posting a psuedocode
    TestObject oc=Div.getMappaleChildren;
    for i = 0; i < oc.length; i++
    reach the Table.
    TestObject oc1=Table.getMappaleChildren;
    for int i = 0; i < oc1.length; i++
    reached the anchor needed
    GuiTestObject g=oc1;
    //Screen point exception here coz obj not visible
    g.click."

    Re: Invisible Object

    As you have mentioned that we can make it scrolling by making a hover, do that. But instead of making a sleep, try clicking the element in intervals.

    Try catch that exception and put the control back in the loop. Break the loop once you clicked the item.

    Hope this will help you.
