Moving to Rational from QTP - tips/advice?
Not sure if this is the right subforum. I will be moving to Rational Functional tester from QTP, and I was wondering what can I expect during the change? Any concepts that are very different in the tools? Any tips for converting QTP scripts to Rational? If someone could point me toward any forum threads or a QTP/Rational comparison matrix that would be very helpful.
Re: Moving to Rational from QTP - tips/advice?
One thing I would suggest is getting the book "Software Test Engineering with IBM Functional Tester". It is pretty good and will get you running pretty quickly with RFT.
It has a lot of examples for JAVA and VB (not sure which language you will be using).
Also, navigate and read through the previous posts. There is a lot of information in here.
If all fails, ask your questions here. :-)
