    Image Location Verification

    Hi,

I am new to RFT and i have a question related to Image verification.

Is that possible to verify exact location of an image on web page??
As part of verification, i have verified the source path of the image but i want to verify the location of image as well. Please suggest.

    Thanks in Advance

    Re: Image Location Verification

    Hi..

There is no way i think so because we can verify only the image by comparing pixel to pixel.
So there is no point of verifying the location

    Re: Image Location Verification

Generally you want to avoid GUI rendering tests as they are harder to maintain.

But there are several ways you can go about this.
    * You can try using a different Java supported tool that's dedicated to image based testing like Sikuli, http://sikuli.org/wiki/How%20to%20us...AVA%20programs
    * If you can locate the image element in the webpage, you can get the coordinates of the object.
    * Use java script injection on the Page object, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/44240...with-javascript
    * If there is no scrolling involved to get to the object, you can use the IGraphical interface http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter...etScreenPoint() to get the object's screen coordinates, then subtract the coordinates of the browser tab to get the offset.
