I have similar problem (selecting a row in grids), the object is not identified as grid instead it is rendering as a window object fpSpread80. When I click on it the control is clicking on a particular column in 1st row and I am doing Ctrl+Home to reach to the first col. After that I am doing Shift+End to select the cell value and Ctrl+c to copy the contents to clipboard from there I am writing it to a notepad and for all cell values of that row I am appending it to the notepad and comparing with expected values.
There are few cells which are not allowing me to do Ctrl+c and hence not able to get that value from clip.
I have read in some posts that we have to write proxy code,
can you help me in writing this proxy code for grids. I am not well versed in Java. Some clue should help.
RFT not fully supports Facets application objects. Even with other automation tool like QTP you will face the same issue for this object.
Proxy development is also not going to work as we need the source code and developer assistance to under stand the different actions coded by the developer. Source code libraries won't be shared by Trizetto so its points less to work on Proxy development.
Better look for alternative approaches for achieving the same in RFT.
