I've got a real problem to enable the JVM under RFT and I'm looking for support.
1- I installed RFT 22.214.171.124
2- I configured my AUT (eclipse based one) through "Configure > Configure applications for Testing" menu
3- I enabled my eclipse platfor through "Configure > Enable environments for Testing" menu
4- I installed a JDK 1.6 update 16
The newly installed JRE apprears under the Java Environements tab, but when I try to enable it, I got this message: "the JVM [Javajre6] cannot be enabled until after the system is rebooted"
I Rebooted the system many times but I always have the same problem.
The enabled web browser is not working too, in diagnostic it says:
* Java enabled in Browser = true
* JVM Version = 1.6.0_16
* JVM Vendor = Sun Microsystems Inc.
General Enablement Information
* Bootstrap loaded = true
* Java2TestDomainImplementation Loaded = erorr!
* HtmlTestDomainImplementation Loaded = false
* htmlTestDomainimplementation Name = unknwon
However, my test suite continues to run fine but in the html log, the following error is thrown when clicking on View VP:
"An enabled JRE (1.3.1_02 or better) must be associated with the browser to view VP results"
Please, any idea?
You help would be very appreciated.
Re: JVM enablement
In this link, I found out how to enable the web browser (IE7)
For both RFT 7.x and 8.x: if you are using JRE 1.6 Update 10 or higher, you MUST make the following setting change:
Start > Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Java Plug-in > UNCHECK "Enable the next-generation Java Plug-in (requires browser restart)" > OK
Then, disable and re-enable your JRE, then your web browser (both via RFT > Configure > Enable Environments for Testing). Run a new enablement diagnostic test and it should pass
But, every time I run a script I still get an error popup stating "The JVM [Javajre1.5.0_14] can not be enabled until after the system is rebooted." ...
Is there an issue with RFT 126.96.36.199 fix with JRE6 ?
