.NET: class of top level obj application-dependent

    Hi,

In the object map created after recording a .NET application, the class of the top level object (Window or Form) shows
"<ProjectName>.<objectName>" instead of "System.Windows.Forms.Form". For an example, please refer to attached file.

Does anyone know how I can obtain the actual class value, that is System.Windows.Forms.Form ?

Re: .NET: class of top level obj application-dependent

    Hi,

My understanding of RFT is that for Visual Studio based Applications i.e. the .NET Applications, the RFT is enabled through Visual Studio IDE where as for Java Applications, the IDE is Eclipse.

In your snapshot you have created .java file (Java Scripting) and trying to record objects on .NET based application which is incorrect.

Seniors please let me know if I'm missing something.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Testing_SSC.

i would disagree to shreyasc27's post. RFT supports .Net applications whether .Net or Java is used as scripting language. it is just a matter of scripting language preference.

for shalmali's question, i don't understand why you need to get "System.Windows.Forms.Form" as ".class" value. can you elaborate?
