RFT cannot identify Eclipse RCP application .
I am using Rational Functional Tester to test a windows application based on Eclipse Rich Client Plateform (RCP) framework . To my surprise , RFT is not able to recognize even a single object on the application. The application does not have an executable and is launched from Eclipse workbench by running the project files.
On using Object Inspector, it works as if the hand-mouse-pointer does not understands that it is being hovered over the button/link object. It continues to display the text - "Hover over desired TestObject".
Kindly guide if I am missing some configuration in RFT ?
Re: RFT cannot identify Eclipse RCP application .
you have to enable you eclipse environment in RFT and then Does your eclipse directory have a "startup.jar" file in it? if not then find this file in the RFT installation and copy to the eclipse directory, if still not work let me know about and I will provide more insight.
