RFT gets confused with all the links on a page
Good day to all,
I am having a bit of a problem and do not know how to resolve it.
The application under test shows me a report on the screen, which consists of a table that has 20 rows, and some links above it to allow me to go to the first, previous, next and last pages. Of course, if I am on the first or last page, these links are no displayed, just text.
In between the 'Previous' and 'Next' link are links to go directly to a specific page.
Let’s assume that the links would be as follows:
Beginning/Previous, 1,2,3,4,Next, Last.
When I run my script, the report is executed and the data is displayed. We are at page 1.
I look for the information that I want in the table. If I do not find it, I click on the “Next” link.
The problem is that, after doing that, all the object recognitions are out of whack, and if I tell RFT to click on 'Next', RFT click on Previous, or Last, or one of the specific page links.
If I check for the text of the link (to make sure that it exists), I get various results, but never the proper one.
I have not been able to figure out what is happening.
Would anyone have a suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
