Test case view?
I'm running a trial on RFT for testing web applications, and am impressed with how well it recognizes and handles the web objects involved.
My only question so far is about test case/plan view and management. Is it possible to view a test script in any other way than the Eclipse IDE?
For instance, if I need to maintain traceability from a test script to set of requirements, is there no way to do so from a higher-level view? Or would I be required to place comments throughout the script?
In the plain source code view, there's no clear distinction of what comprises a test step, a test case or a test plan.
I am relatively new to this, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!
Re: Test case view?
I think I've found the solution: Rational TestManager (and Rational ClearQuest Test Manager).
I've yet to run a trial, but supposedly you're able to group scripts into test suites and view consolidated reports for each run (instead of only viewing only the overly verbose Functional Tester logs).
I'd appreciate anyone's confirmation on this, since I've yet to use Test Manager and am trusting data sheets and demo videos.
