Create/Modify Test Objects Dynamically
I'm very new to IBM Functional Tester, and am not good with the Java language. I'm trying to perform a test on an application which allows me to create, edit and delete entries, which are then sorted in a table. Each entry has the following attributes:
All 3 attributes are text boxes even though the date value is input using a calendar object, which then translates the date into the format DDHHMM MM YYYY.
After the entry has been created, I can select each entry to edit/delete where the date is the sorting criteria.
The difficulty I face is how do I store the Date value dynamically as everytime I create a new entry, the date value will be different. So after the entry is created, I won't be able to access the entry anymore.
The current code generated by the Functional Tester is as follows:
protected GuiTestObject text__031629Jul2008()
return new GuiTestObject(getMappedTestObject ("text__031629Jul2008"));
protected GuiTestObject text__031629Jul2008(TestObject anchor, long flags)
return new GuiTestObject(getMappedTestObject("text__031629Jul 2008"), anchor, flags);
I have previously changed the object in the Test Object Map, but it still does not work. How should I change the code so that it can reflect the date dynamically?
Thanks a lot.
Re: Create/Modify Test Objects Dynamically
If the objects get changed dynamically, you need to find the objects based on the property and perform action on that.
You can just refer the sample code here...
