    how to change default locations

How do I change the default locations?:

Launching QTP. Selecting Open tab defaults to location:
    User/Documents/HP/Quick Test Professional/Tests

Launching Test Results Viewer. Selecting Open then browse defaults to location:
    C:/Program Files/HP/Quick Test Professional/Tests

Launching Test Results Deletion Tool. Selecting Open then browse defaults to location:
    C:/Program Files/HP/Quick Test Professional/bin

All 3 applications with 3 different locations.I'd like all of these to default to the same location (wherever that may be)
    Cheers, Gary

Re: how to change default locations

go into your registry, under HKCU\Software\Mercury Interactive\Quicktest Professional\MicTest is stored the path for saving your tests.

look for the other options also in your registry

Go to windows Run window and type regedit.exe and click ok.

You will get the windows registry editor and you can then browser to the folder mentioned above HKCU mena HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Re: how to change default locations

Sorry, my mistake for a very badly phrased reply.

    There's a lot in MicTest.

I've found TestsDirectory which appears to tie up with the Test Results Viewer but altering this made no impact at all.

Then there's SearchPathFolders which appears to be the default location for QTP(which has a frontend update rather than via registry) but adding a new folder to the top of this list does not force QTP to open from this new location.

Finally I can't see anything which relates to Deletion tool. And after making the previous 2 changes, the deletion tool used the same location as before.

    Regards,
    Gary
