synchronization points not working for DHTML apps

I have an application that when logged displays a buch of links and images. However, it shows a 'please wait until we fully load the page' image. I created a synchronization point on one of the Links with Page.Sync and WaitProperty on the Link checking its property 'visible' to be true. However when I run the script, the click is happenning on the link before it is displayed (I understand the Link object is created in IEs memory and that is why it succeeded) but is there a standard way to wait until it is really 'displayed'?

    No luck.

The link is still getting clicked and the result shown as 'done' before it is displayed.

Re: synchronization points not working for DHTML a

Checking for the existence of the object is not useful, as what i am trying to tell is that the object exists and the "click" is being performed before even it is shown on the screen. I suddenly see one final results page (a few seconds after QTP completes even showing the report).

As I said, the page's DOM seems to be what QTP is accessing and not whether something is displayed or not.

For example, if you have a link in a DIV (that is not visible), is there a way how you can check some property on the Link that tells whether it is currently being displayed or not.

    Thanks.

Why don't you check for the dynamic content rather than an object that already exists?
