I am using data table for a list of zip codes and need to know how to get the leading zero to display in the cell. There are no options in the Format Menu.
Add ' before the number
In the format section, select custom number and type in 00000
Patience is like bread I say.... I ran out of that yesterday.
Out side QTP.
1.create new spreadsheer called Test.xls and add your data in this sheet.
2.Select Zipcode column and format the data as "Text"
Open QTP right click on data table and Add Test.xls file to QTP Datatable.
Have you tried forcing the number to a string before loading the string into the datatable, as in:
I am not sure this will work, but it is worth a try.
The other trick I would try, assuming you know your Number is at most say 5 digits, is to try this:
num=0 'or some Number 5 digits or less
Then strip the first digit (the "1") from the string using the mid() function.
-Hope this helps, Terry
