While running automation scripts for a while, QTP hangs/sometimes crashes. It is happening inconsistently. The automation suite runs for couple of hours (10-12 hours appx. may be more).
During the runtime, some of function libraries, objects load multiple times. I am assuming that the cache is causing an issue, but I am not quite sure. However, I want to clear the cache (means - unload the function library, objects before loading them again) during run-time.
Is there anyway we can clear the cache (i.e. memory / unload) in QTP 9.2? [like winrunner unload()]
Does anyone come across this kind of scenario? pleae share your thoughts, suggestions/advises. Appreciate it.
I am running a batch of QTP tests using a VBScript. And I see the same problem - QTP/browser hangs. Can you please provide some more details/lines of code to check the health of QTP?
I have recorded with google.com, typed "easy to automate" as keyword and clicked the search button, and after opening the search results page , closed the web application after going to some of the searched site...
In that case, while I try to run the script, the QTP just opens the google page and hangs there itself.
