    Verify the fields in 2 browser simultaneously

    Dear all,

    I've a doubt, how to validate the fields simultaneously in 2 browser with same application.

    Eg: If we need to verify the multi user for the same application, In QTP will recognize the object for single browser, if we open the other browser the objects couldn't recognize properly.

    Does your application allow 2 users to login on the same machine in different browsers or not? Check that out first

    Then you can open two different browser and use creationtime:=0 and creationtime:=1 to identify them and work on the application.

    Re: Verify the fields in 2 browser simultaneously

    Tarun,

    I've tried to set the creationtime like below

    Browser("title:=xxx","creationtime:=0)
    but it says the object property is not exist. I've checked the property but the creationtime object is not exist in the object spy property window. But in the help "browser object" , the browser object property have "creationtime".

    Let me know how i can proceed with creatiotime with example.

    Thanks,
    Vinodh.R

    The browser with creationtime:=0 may or may not have title:=xxx. So just use Browser("creationtime:=0") as suggested by FredMan

    Creation time is not a test-object property, its a Run time Object Property and you can't see it with object spy.

    You can, although, get it by:
    msgbox Browser("title:=xxx").getROProperty("creationtime" )

    Re: Verify the fields in 2 browser simultaneously

    Thanks FredMan,

    I've tried as u said, its working fine. I have another question, if we do by creation time, is there only we can do the scripting by DP?

    Vinodh.R

    Yes. Once you start using DP for a line of code, you have to finish that line in DP. In other words, you can't mix DP with a recorded line of code.
    Onward thru the fog...
