Long Save Time (35+ seconds) for Project?
Not getting much help from HP support on this. May not even be a QTP problem, but then again it might.
Here is a summary of our problem:
We are using is 9.5.
The project files were originally shared from a direct attached disk on a server. They are now being shared from an iSCSI attached disk on the same server.
The project files normally take between 1-5 seconds to save. Now, since moving to the folder shared from the iSCSI disk, they take 35+ seconds to 2 minutes to save.
There are no other applications having any problem opening or saving files to the shared iSCSI disk. I am able to open the script files directly (not using QTP) and save them without any delay, it takes 1 second or less.
We can open and save library files without any delay. It is only the script/project files that are behaving in a degraded manner.
The object repositories are not large at all. At the most, maybe 150 object descriptions.
BTW, HP closed my ticket before knowing if their solution worked at all. Kind of irritating.

Search generally on google and see if you can find any know issues when working with iSCSI
