Hi there, I am using QTP for a desktop app developed in VB 6. While recording it recorded some part of the app file but at some location its not identifying the objects its just giving the same line for every click like if you press any button or for any menu item
Hi Tarun, Thanks for your responce. Could you please expand a little bit on this. Where I can find the Object properties and how to use them. Please forgive my ignorance. I am a little confused what to really search for.
Is the active-X component you are attempting to click on a custom control of some type? This is something I commonly saw back when I was attempting to record on Infragistics controls without there QTP component added.
Also what I believe "T" is saying is if you erase the "Click" method from the end of your function, then add .object. <-make sure to include the ending period. Do additional methods appear. You should also be able to accomplish this with the Object Spy looking at the Test Objects properties. Hope you get more then just the Default Active-X properties (I hate custom controls)
