    Table index changing dynamically

    Hi,

    My window application has two parties, Client and Dealer. Initially Client and Dealer windows has one table each. Since the index of the Client and Dealer is '0' therefore i defined only one table object. Now, in the current release one more table has come in the Client widow and the index for the new table is '0' and the old table index has become '1' where as the Dealer window table index remains as '0' only.

    Initially
    Client window table index is 0
    Dealer window table index is 0
    Now in the current release
    Client window table index is 1
    Dealer window table index is 0
    <Object name="tblListTable" type="JavaTable">
    <Param name="index" value="0"/>
    </Object>

    To run the script successfully What kind of maintenance is required to the object without changing the script?

    Re: Table index changing dynamically

    Hi,

    I tried by giving like below but it always taking '0' index first, instead is there any option that, first it has to look for the table having index value of '1' and then should look for '0' index?

    <Object name="tblListTable" type="JavaTable">
    <Param name="index" value="1|0"/>
    </Object>

    Hi,

    You can change the index value in Object Repository properties.Then you don't have any problems

    Have you fully investigated if it is possible to identify the tables through other properties? Index is a biot of a lazy way out of object recognition

    Yes, here in this case INDEX is the best property but my requirement is not successful. Here Can i use conditional operator? if so, please provide the syntax.
