When I run the analog track, I get an error - Operation aborted. Did any one face this issue?
I am now getting Operation Aborted too.
But not due to analog playback. I'm not doing anything analog. Just replaying a recorded script that used to work last week. Now it doesn't.
The line of code that causes this error is here:
SwfWindow("My Application").SwfWindow("Master account").SwfWindow("Add cash").SwfSpin("cashEdit").Set "2000"
This line used to work. Today, I get Operation Aborted.
But, it still sets the value to the object. So maybe I can use On Error Resume Next.
But, does anyone know why this happens? What does this error mean?
"The last 10% of any software project will take 90% of the budgeted time. The first 90% will take the other 90%"
I don't know why. I only know the workaround:
1) Start a new QTP test
2) Record in a new bogus analog recording of anything
3) Play it back to make sure it's working
4) Go back to your previous test and it will work again.
So recording in a new analog recording seems to "kickstart" it back to life
In my experience, Analog recording is highly unreliable in the best of conditions...the coordinates on one machine may not be the same on another machine, etc. etc.
That being said, your above issues make me dislike analog recording even more!
Do you have a definite concrete NEED to use it? are you not getting the appropriate object recognition? What is the application under test?
