QTP does not identify the text using object spy
In my application, there is a feature called “Autosave”. If I edit any page and leave it open for specified amount of time, the page gets automatically saved (without having to click “Save” button). Now, when the page gets saved the system displays “Page saved” message for about 2 seconds.
I have been trying to see if QTP can recognize this message “Page Saved” when it appears using Descriptive programming. But the problem is that, when I object spy “Page Saved” message, the properties of it are same as that of blank space in the page. In other words, QTP recognizes this “Page Saved” message just as a blank space. This way I cannot check if this message appeared or not.
I want to know if there is any way I can make QTP recognize this message in the page.
I can easily check if the page got saved but my intention is to see if the message appeared or not as well.
Re: QTP does not identify the text using object spy
When you object spy on that message, what is the object type that it shows? WebElement, etc.
