Im trying to write a vbscript that uses the OTA API to run all the tests in a specified test set and give email notification on completion.
I have turned on all notification in the test set--when I run the test set from QC manually the notification works.
To reference the OAT API the VBScript creates a TestDirectorConnection object using:
Set tdc = CreateObject("tdapiole80.tdconnection") (Is ths correct?)
The VBScript using the Microsoft Scheduler utility works perfectly fine ....
when a user is logged in--but fails when the task is run while the user is logged out.
Has anyone successfuly done this?
My only alternative to this point look like creating a 'headless' PC, i.e. no keyboard or mouse with no screen saveer so it will never logoff.
If there is another suggestion I would like to hear it.
Tanks in advance.
Re: OTA API
I think you need to work with ExecEventNotifyByMailSettings Object for sending emails, look at QC OTA guide for keyword ExecEventNotifyByMailSettings.
