\'Action call properties\' disabled

I'm writing an action. In this I'm passing the data using Global data table. It has 10-20 rows in it. I want to set the action call property asking QTP to execute the action for all the rows.

But when I click on Edit->Action->Action Call Proerties to set the property, this option is disabled.

Can anybody tell me how it can be enabled? I searched on Google as well as on sqaforums.com but could not find any information.

Thanks in advance for help.

Regards,
Nitinkumar

Just insert a dummy action in your script, that will be named as Acion2. Again from the dropdown, select Action1. I was able to enable the Action Properties this way. Sounds weird though

Read up in the help:

and

Mercury QuickTest Professional User's Guide > Creating Tests > Working with Actions > Using Global and Action Data Sheets

Hi Nitin,

You can also achieve the same while calling the re-usab;e action using Runaction "action name", allIteration

Re: \'Action call properties\' disabled

I found that I had to make the action non-reusable to enbable the Edit->Action->Action Call Proerties.

In my experience you only get the Action Call Properties menu item when you select the action in key word view and only from the "Test Flow" version of the Key Word view.

The action does not have to be set "non-reusable"

You can also get the Action properties by right clicking on the Expert View.
