Method to Automate Codejock Controls with QTP?
Is there an approach to automate Code Jock controls. I approached HP to automate codejock, as of any release of QTP from HP does not support automation on codejock controls.
If any body in this forum have automated a third party controls could give some inputs.
Thank you all.
Re: Method to Automate Codejock Controls with QTP?
I used to use CodeJock controls in my applications in the past, and they basically have two flavors... MFC and ActiveX. I think the ActiveX stuff is just a wrapper around the MFC code. Either way, I don't think CodeJock is designing their controls to be automation friendly. They are barely developer friendly.
For the ActiveX versions, you may have some luck with the ActiveX addin. Otherwise, you're stuck with the same problems anyone has with custom controls. There is no special support for CodeJock, and it's not really HP's position to make support available. You'll need to lobby CodeJock for that, and don't count on it happening. They still don't make native .NET controls, and that technology has been around for a while.
