Accessing files held in QC with HTML in Results
I've started saving pdfs and word docs generated by the AUT to the results file, then using HTML within Reporter.ReportEvent, displaying the doc within the results.
However, will this work when the results path is within QC?
Obviously I can try to set up a proof of concept, but I was wondering if anyone else had tried it, so I don't waste my time!
Hang on, just had a thought, perhaps relative paths might work, but my knowledge of HTML is limited. DO relative paths work in HTML?
Re: Accessing files held in QC with HTML in Result
Nope it won't work. The issue that would come is when you open the results again on the same machine or a new machine then it would not work if you have used Absolute path. If you use relative path then it won't work, because QTP generates the results in HTML format at run-time and the current path used is "C:\Program files\Internet Explorer"
